Making your own icy treats is surprisingly easy and oftentimes, much tastier than anything you can get at the store.

Read on to see some of our favorite summer popsicle recipes — with the added bonus of CBD of course.

3 CBD popsicle recipes to try at home:

What You’ll Need

While making homemade popsicles does not require any special skills, it does require some special equipment.

First, you will need to get a mold specifically made for popsicles. You can usually find these in some grocery stores and all over the internet for around $10.

When searching for a mold, we recommend choosing a set that is BPA-free so that no hidden nasties sneak their way into your icy pop.

If the set you choose does not come with reusable popsicle sticks (many do), you will need to hunt down some sticks.

These are also usually very affordable and can be found in the craft section of the store or simply search the web for a pack.

You also have the option of using disposable paper cups or make teeny tiny popsicles in an ice cube tray with toothpicks.

Once you decide what set-up is going to work best for you, all that’s left to do is put your popsicles together!

Kiwi Watermelon Pops

CBD popsicle recipes

Nothing says summer quite like a fresh and juicy watermelon. Add in a splash of kiwi and this summery treat is almost complete.

All you need now is a little CBD. You are welcome to use whatever tincture you like, but we suggest trying Tarot’s Full Spectrum CBD Oil for its light flavor and synergistic qualities.

Ingredients: (Makes 8 popsicles)

Instructions:

-Add the kiwi into a blender or food processor and blend until fully liquefied. For the kiwi, you may need to add in a splash of water or coconut water to help.

-Pour the kiwi into the bottom of your popsicles molds and place in the freezer for at least an hour.

-Meanwhile, blend up all of the watermelon with the CBD tincture until smooth.

-Once an hour has passed, pour the watermelon into the popsicle molds on top of the mostly frozen kiwi.

-Place the popsicle sticks into the watermelon puree and put the mold back into the freezer until completely frozen.

-Once finished, run the mold under warm water to help release the popsicles. Et voila!

Roasted Strawberry and Toasted Coconut Popsicles

CBD popsicle recipe

For those of us that like to get a little fancy, these popsicles are a dream come true. While these do require a little more labor than your average popsicle, they’re completely worth every bit of effort.

The result is a unique tie-dye speckled pop that is bursting with summery flavors.

Finish these refreshing treats off with a dash of CBD and you’re good to go. For a tincture with vanilla notes, we recommend trying Noirebud’s Balance Drops for a seamless addition to your popsicles.

Ingredients: (Makes 10-12 popsicles)

  • 1/3 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Juice of 1 lime, divided
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole fat coconut milk, well shaken
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Noirebud’s Balance Drops, or tincture of choice

Instructions:

-Preheat oven to 350℉.

-Sprinkle coconut onto a rimmed baking sheet and toast in the oven until golden brown, about 3 to 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on the coconut, as it toasts very quickly. Remove from the oven and set aside to let it cool.

-Place strawberries on a rimmed baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Place in the oven to roast until fragrant and soft, about 18 to 20 minutes.

-Remove from the oven and add the strawberries to the bowl of a food processor. Add 2 tablespoons sugar, juice of half a lime, and CBD tincture. Blend until smooth.

-In a small bowl stir together coconut milk, remaining lime juice, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Once mixed thoroughly, stir the toasted coconut into the milk mixture.

-Dollop a spoonful of strawberry into the bottom of each popsicle mold. Start by filling 10 molds in case you don’t have enough to fill 12 molds.

-Stir coconut milk and add to the popsicle mold, filling 2/3 full.

-Spoon more strawberry into each mold and top with remaining milk. This layering will create the swirl effect in your final product.

-Add the popsicle mold lid and place sticks inside. Freeze for at least 6 hours before enjoying.

For a truly relaxing summer, keep these CBD popsicle recipes close at hand. The good news is, it doesn’t have to be summer to enjoy these popsicles — you can enjoy these icy treats all year round.
