Want A Piece of CannApple Pie?

A Thanksgiving CANNApple Pie

Apple pies are delicious, right? In the store, at your local bakery…almost anywhere pies are being baked, a delicious apple pie can be found somewhere ready to be eaten! But what can make an apple pie even better? Yep, you guessed it; our lovely lady Mari-J!

Would a bakery be willing to make you one? Maybe. But are you ready to get dirty in dough and bake your own CannApple Pie? We’ve added a little RAZZLE DAZZLE to your typical apple pie recipe that is ready for you to try! You can thank us later!

Canna-butter vs Cannabidiol

What makes this apple pie different is it doesn’t use drops of cannabidiol straight into the pie, but it uses canna-butter. You can choose any canna-butter brand you prefer when making this recipe.

To make our CannApple Pie, you’ll need:

Pie Crust

2 ½ cups of flour

8 tablespoons of canna-butter (For this recipe, we are using Heavenly Sweet cannabutter)

8 tablespoons of unsalted butter

1 Teaspoon of sugar

1 Teaspoon of salt

¼ cup of ice water

Pie Filling

5 peeled apples

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of cider vinegar

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

2 tablespoons of sugar (or brown sugar)

½ teaspoon of cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit)

Pie Crust Instructions

  1. Butter and Canna-butter

Place the butter and canna-butter to the side for 10-15 minutes to give them time to soften.

  1. Mix

In a large bowl mix together the salt, sugar, and flour. Add the butter to the bowl and continue to mix with the other ingredients. Soon, the mixture should be close to becoming dough.

  1. Add Water

Once the dough is flaky, add ¼ cup of water and continue to mix. The dough should come together as one after adding the water. Press with your hand to make sure the dough is sticking. Note: If it’s not sticking, add a tablespoon of water until the dough is ready.

  1. Wrap the Dough

Take half the dough and place it onto plastic wrap, forming it into a thick 2-centimeter, flat circle. Repeat the same process, and then stick it in the fridge for an hour.

Pie Filling Instructions

  1. Slice

Cut up the apples and place them in a bowl. Pour the lemon juice on top of the apples and let them soak for 10 minutes.

  1. Mix

In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, vinegar, and cinnamon until well blended. Add the sliced apples. Stir until the apples are well coated.

Filling + Pie Crust = Apple Pie

Take one of the doughy, flat circles, and roll it out. Place it in a pie pan so that it covers the pan. Use a knife to cut the dough that flows over the edge of the pan.

  • Add the apple filing
  • Use your last circle and roll it out. This will cover the top of the pie. Place on top of the pie pan and cut the excess dough around the edges. Pinch the dough on the edges to combine the two crusts and make a design.
  • Use tinfoil to wrap around the edges of the pie so the edges do not burn.

Bake in the oven for 55 minutes. Once done, set on a pie rack and let cool for 20 minutes.

Slice, serve, and get ready to elevate your stomach and your mind.

Now you have a delicious apple pie to serve your friends and family. Let us know in the comments how your pie turned out!
